WHAT'S NEW IN 3RD WARD?

                           MONTHLY RELIEF SOCIETY ACTIVITY
Wednesday evening, April 13th, found many members of the 3rd Ward Relief Society gathered in the Cultural Hall for a 'Guess Whooooo' evening,
a “get acquainted evening.” It was a 'Hoot'. A beautiful buffet of fruits & vegetables was laid out,

after which Lyn Clark, our Humanitarian Coordinator, gave us an update on where various handmade quilts & stuffed animals were sent & how, every time she really needs material or batting, etc., someone brings it to her.

After that, different sisters displayed an item or 2 or 3 that best described them, their interests; their passions! We learned So much about each other!  It certainly was time well spent!!!

RETIRING AFTER 36 YEARS OF SERVICE!

A reminder of Dr. Dean Duke's retirement Open House this next Thursday - 4:00-6:00 p.m. at his office: 383 S. 300 E.

                                   A WARM WELCOME
to Josh, Shawnie & Taysom Cram who just recently moved into our Ward! They live at 2892 S. BL. Dr. W.
Josh grew up in the Boise, Idaho area and moved to the St. George area in 2005. Shawnie grew up in Ogden, Utah until she was 8, then her family moved to Kansas. She also appeared in St. George in 2005. They met at work & were  married July 13, 2013.  Josh works at Sun River Community center. Shawnie tells me Josh is a busy man and will do anything for his family.
As for Shawnie – she is a Stay-at-Home mom with a few jobs on the side; she also does scrap booking & already has 3 scrap books full of photos, etc., about Taysom & he's only 8 months old!!!
As a family they love being outside; hiking, horseback riding, camping, & anything to do with the outdoors! They also enjoy watching movies & just spending time together as a family!

 A STAR IN THE MAKING?
Yasmine Ashton, daughter of Jeff & Celia, started to play catch at the park with her friends and that's how she became interested in playing softball. She tried out with about 50 other girls at Dixie High School and made the team, so this is her first year actually playing softball and she loves it. She practices Monday through Friday & also has games during the week.
