SACRAMENT MEETING NOTES, JUNE 26 - 2016

                                 Bishop Jordan Merrill

We were warmly greeted by Doris and Kelley Mountford.

Bishop Merrill conducted.

Invocation: Allyson Wright

Morgan & Cody Fenstermaker & children are going to be sealed in the St. George Temple July ninth at 10:40 AM.

Lindsey Davis
was our first speaker. At youth conference they were blindfolded and then told to follow the Iron Rod to the tree of life; the Iron Rod in this case being a rope. They were then encouraged by the voice of brother Brian Ludlow who turned out to be Satan and the Voice of an angel (Bishop Merrill). At first she followed The voice up brother Ludlow but then she ended up in trouble and had to be rescued and put back on the path They then went to the Payson Temple where they did baptisms for the dead and referred us to Doc & Cov 88:119. "Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of Glory, a house of order, a house of God!"

Yasmine Ashton
told us that serving others helps us to stay close to God. She said she keeps her room clean because it just makes her mom crazy to have it messy. She equates service with kindness and quoted Mosiah  2:17. "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when y are in the service of you fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God."
Jesus spent his whole life serving others

Guy Ludlow
told us that attending youth conference was high-powered, uplifting and spiritual. He had been praying that he would be able to build his testimony of Christ. He told us of the speakers who talked about dating; how to interact with other people and about wearing a whole armor of God. He also learned about listening to the warnings from the spirit.

If we don't have the most Amazing young people in our Ward!!!!

Susie Reed told us that the purpose of youth conference was to increase the testimonies of the youth. She closely watched 18 youth interact with each other and noticed how many of them were obedient to all the rules! Many of them were keenly aware of others' feelings and interests. From the Iron Rod  experience she learned that we need the help of others to get through our lives and our problems.
Ron Read's remarks were very tender as he told us how the young men & women leaders braved the zip line And all we have to do to reach the tree of life is to never let go of the Iron Rod!
