Sister Allisyn Wright  as Young Women Laurel Advisor. (See photo above)

And Brother Mike Capik as Gospel Doctrine Teacher.

Our youth speaker was Ellie Simpson, daughter of Rosine & Greg.

Her assigned topic was "MOTHERS." She told us that Satan knows that Motherhood defines our Divine Nature. Motherhood was the most ennobling endowment Father could give to his daughters and is as important as men having the Priesthood!
There has Never been a greater need for righteous mothers! Mothers are the Lord's secret weapon! (I love this thought.)

Sister Renee Duke's

topic was "What Shall We Do?" which was the name of Sister Neill F. Marriott's remarks at the Women's Session of General Conference. She referred us to Acts 2:36-37 which reads

36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37 ¶Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38  Then Peter said unto them, Repent.....
Sister Duke told us she was struck thinking about those who walked and talked with Christ and loved him, then had to endure the agony of his death; having him taken away and walking alone after!   She quoted Eliza R. Snow "We have High responsibilities in building the Kingdom." She also reminded us that Mothers have more power and influence than we can imagine.
She was followed by the Primary children singing 2 songs about Mothers, led by Sister Allie Croft

and accompanied by pianist, Brother Steve Adam.

Brother Dean Duke was our concluding speaker.

Regarding mothers, he told us that not only was Jeovah of the Old Testament the God of Abraham, Isacc and Jacob, He was also the God of Sarah, Rebecca and Rachel!! And Mary, the Mother of Jesus - she was the vehicle by which he was born. It was the Savior's work to bring about the immortality and eternal life of man, but it was a Mother's love that brought him into the world!
Brother Duke also looked up the word 'helpmeet,' as it tells us in the Bible that 'Adam was to be given a 'helpmeet.'  It turns out that it means 'an equal.' Adam needed Eve.
