Elder Austin Henry Eyring, son of Sue & Tim Eyring & big brother to Alina,
was our first speaker. He has been called to the Brazil Santa Maria mission and will fly to the MTC in Brazil tomorrow.

He told us that Faith in Jesus Christ leads to action to become more like him.
As a prospective missionary of course he discussed missionary work! We were reminded that the  four sons of Mosiah all renounced becoming a king and went out to preach to the Lamanites. Ammon was captured and when brought before the king told the king he wanted to serve him all the rest of his days! All primary children know the exciting story of Ammon at the Waters of Sebus where rogue Lamanites came to run off the sheep and Ammon cut off their arms. With the conversion of King Lamoni and his court, thousands of Lamanites were converted to the Lord and none of them ever fell away!!
Elder Eyring then quoted Moses 1: 39. "For behold this is my work and my glory to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man" and bore his testimony, especially his testimony of prayer.

Christian Stucki provided us with a beautiful piano solo "We'll bring the world his truth."

Our next speaker was our high councilman, brother David Peterson.
His topic was "Better member missionaries." He suggested that we expand our circle of nonmember friends and then invite them into our homes and to our meeting houses, as there is a special spirit in our chapels!  Restored truth is free but it is so difficult to give away. He told us that a non-member has to have at least  seven contacts with either members or spiritual experiences before they are converted to the gospel!!
As members we need to be "finders" and then let the missionaries teach them.

Our stake president, James Bown
was our concluding speaker, bearing his testimony.

Benediction:  Sarah Leoni
