Our youth speaker today was Nate Davis, son of Tammy and Scott Davis.
His topic was "Service". He told us there is an unlimited number of things we can do to help others. Christ was always serving others even when it wasn't convenient and he quoted Matt 14:13-22. (The disciples had just informed Christ that John the Baptist had been beheaded and they had just buried his body. Thank you Young Brother Davis! I just learned of this today from you!)

13 ¶When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities.
14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
15 ¶And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.
19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
Elder Nordstrom
who is from Pensacola Florida was our next speaker. His topic was 'Testimonies'. When Christ asked the apostle Peter "whom say ye that I am?" he replied that Jesus was the Christ. The only way he could have known that was from personal revelation from the Father. A testimony is personal knowledge of spiritual truth revealed by revelation. Testimonies are what moves this work, The spreading of the gospel , across the world. We cannot know spiritual truth without prayer and we are to testify and teach.

is from South America; Born in Argentina and raised in Chile. His topic was "being converted." Although the apostle Peter knew that Jesus was the Christ he was also told that Satan desired to have him, So when he was converted he was to strengthen his brethren.
Conversion is an offering of the whole self. The essence of the gospel is to learn how to change and improve. He told us that when the Lamanites were converted (Alma 23) they never did fall away. They had a knowledge of the truth and they buried their weapons of rebellion which were at the time their swords & knives; In our time it would be pride and selfishness.
